Dr. Scott L. Weinstein, our pediatric dentist, and our professional team are experts at working with children of any age, those nervous about the dentist or not, and ensuring that even our littlest patients are comfortable in our Charlotte, North Carolina, office.
Dr. Scott Weinstein grew up primarily in Greensboro, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both his Bachelor of Science in biology and to complete his dental degree in 1998. After completing his dental studies, Dr. Scott followed his passion for taking care of children by completing his pediatric dental residency in 2000 at Eastman Dental Center and Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.
He then went on to open his practice in Charlotte in 2006, after working for several years as an employee doctor in the area. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Scott also has completed multiple continuing education courses on sedation, behavior management, and new restoration techniques. Dr. Scott has received advanced training and is certified in pediatric dentistry and in moderate pediatric oral conscious sedation dentistry, PALS (pediatric advanced life support), orthodontics, and hospital dentistry. Dr. Scott enjoys being an avid scuba diver, snow skier, traveler, and golfer. He also enjoys any sport associated with his beloved Tarheels and boating on Lake Norman. Dr. Scott is a perfect fit for pediatric dental care with his patience, positive attitude, and ever-present smile, and fun demeanor. He enjoys helping kids love going to the dentist.

Dawn has been a dental hygienist since 1993, with most of that time in pediatrics. She is married and has a son and two bonus children. She is originally from New Jersey but has been in the Carolinas since 2005. When she is not at work, she enjoys baking, the beach, and spending time with her family.
Summer is one of our certified dental assistants at Ballantyne Pediatric Dentistry. Summer received her college diploma from York Technical College. She initially worked with our office from 2015-2016, and at the beginning of 2019, she returned. She loves her coworkers and patients, and she shows how much she cares about them each day. Summer has four daughters and a son. She enjoys spending time with her children and going on road trips.
Julie recently graduated from Central Piedmont Community college as a Dental Assistant II. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, boyfriend, and friends. During the summer you can probably find Julie hiking or hanging out at the beach.
