Built for Kids...For a Lifetime of Smiles
“I was nervous anticipating seeing my first patient at the end of my first year in dental school, and of course, it was a guy who looked like he could have been a pro football player. It turns out he is an ex-Army Ranger. So now I’m scared because if I hurt him, he could snap me in two like a twig. I go to check his teeth, and he is jumpy. I ask why and he then tells me that the dentist hurt him as a child, and he has been scared of dentists ever since. I told him, “Well, that makes two of us.” We laughed it out, I was patient with him, and the result was that I got him over his fear.
My mission statement is not simply to patch holes in baby teeth but for my child patients to have such a positive attitude towards dentistry that they are comfortable with the dental care as an adult.” – Dr. Scott Weinstein

What Our Patients Are Saying...
Shelly Johnson14/04/2023 We've been coming here for a few years now. Dr. Scott ALWAYS calls to follow up after fillings or other procedures. He always explains any work he needs to do and seems very knowledgable. My kids really like the office environment and the turtle logo (lol, the things that impress kids 🤷♀️), and the office staff is also friendly and quick. I wish they were open on Friday, but other than that, I would recommend this dentist for your kiddos. Yansea Taylor09/02/2023 My 4-year-old son was traumatized by a chain dentist's office where we were treated like a number with no bedside manner or etiquette. Dr. Scott restored my little one's confidence. His team was patient, kind, and caring. He is a Godsend to our family. To top the excellence off, his rates were more affordable and his treatment plan was far more reasonable. I am a mother of five and would drive as many miles as it took to come to this practice. It's worth it! Nyree Hawkins04/02/2023 Very kid friendly, Great staff….. Dr. Weinstein is AWESOME!!!! Rachel Hallmark03/02/2023 Great experience and very helpful scheduling to get 3 kids teeth cleaned and checked in one go! Kellie Coberth02/02/2023 We love Dr Scott. Both of our kids have been going to him since they were 1. He takes his time with each kid and explains to them what he is going to do so there are no surprises. Caitlin Scarcella01/02/2023 Overall a positive experience. The office had a lot of fun toys for my daughter to play with and when she got scared during her visit, the staff were super helpful in holding my 7 month old son so I could help my daughter. This isn’t anything super critical, but I would say that the full masks and surgery gowns made the staff look intimidating which caused my daughter to be pretty freaked out, but I understand, you gotta do what you gotta do. Satisfied overall. Joss01/02/2023 Hello, We are still here with this wonderful Ballantyne Pediatric Dentistry team, as I mentioned 3 years ago, I highly recommend it for their service and care for my girl with special needs. Thank you Dr. Scott and your great team. Sincerely Hensley Family Bryan Hartley29/01/2023 Could not have a better kids dentist. Great staff that are always helpful and a fantastic dentist. Adriane Gates25/01/2023 The staff was professional and friendly. We had a very pleasant experience.
Policies
To ensure a smooth and safe sedation experience:
Parental Presence: We welcome parents in the back for hygiene and most operative dental procedures but we ask that only 1 parent be present and no other children during operative procedures as we want the child to be able to pay attention to instructions from Dr. Scott and staff. While we understand that you may want to assist in the procedure, we ask that parents remain passive observers so that the child does not receive conflicting information. Dr. Scott has been a pediatric dentist for nearly 25 years and his staff are all highly experienced in working with children with a goal of giving your child the best experience possible
Preoperative Instructions: Detailed guidelines will be provided prior to your appointment, including dietary restrictions and instructions on managing daily medications. Following these instructions is crucial for your child’s safety.
Postoperative Care: After the procedure, we’ll give you specific instructions for home care to ensure a smooth recovery for your child.
Insurance and Financial Policies: While we do not partner directly with private insurance companies, we provide the necessary documentation for you to submit claims. Coverage may vary, so please consult your insurance provider for details. We also offer various payment options to accommodate your needs.
Patient Privacy: We adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect your child’s personal and medical information, ensuring their privacy and safety.
If you have any questions or concerns about sedation dentistry at Ballantyne Pediatric Dentistry, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to provide your child with the best possible care.
